Endel, which has previously collaborated with Grimes, shared Blake’s new creation on their wide array of apps. They also offer a selection of experiences which are said to combine the firm’s reputation for “signature elegant visuals and sounds with evidence-based insights on what prepares us for a better night’s rest”.
“In approximately two hours, Wind Down traces an arc from wakefulness to sleep based on scientific input from SleepScore Labs, which partnered with Endel on this project,” a press release explains.
“Wind Down lets me explore the more ambient side of my music and create a project to support people in a new way,” said Blake.
“It’s mesmerising to hear how my music blends with the science-based sounds of Endel’s AI and I think we’ve invented something not just beautiful or even meaningful, but truly practical.”
Earlier this year, Blake teamed up with Labrinth to debut the full version of their track ‘Pick Me Up’, which is included on the soundtrack for the current series of ‘Euphoria’.
‘Pick Me Up’ was Blake’s first new music since his fifth album ‘Friends That Break Your Heart’, which was released last October.
He has since released ‘Go Easy Kid’, a team-up with LA based singer Monica Martin which sees him providing a new take on the latter’s original track.
This spring sees Blake head out on a a UK and European tour in support of ‘Friends That Break Your Heart’.
Blake’s dates kick off on April 30, 2022 at the O2 Academy in Glasgow before concluding at Alexandra Palace on May 17, 2022.
