Endel × Ta-ku: AI Beat Tape Analog Sounds Meet Powerful Tech in the Perfect Lo-Fi Focus Mix

AI Beat Tape (release: April 6, 2022) is a focus soundscape created by Endel’s AI with multidisciplinary artist and foundational producer Ta-ku. Built from Ta-ku's transformative sound palette, AI Beat Tape will help listeners get into a deep flow state to boost creativity and focus.

The catalyst for a larger cultural movement, Ta-ku broke new ground with his seminal work, Songs to Break up To, Songs to Make up To, various compilation projects and his work with the esteemed collective, Soulection. Now, with Endel and its science-backed AI, Ta-ku is creating music for enhancing human focus and state of flow. The sound is pure Ta-ku, channeling his deeply analog approach to production via neuroscience-backed AI-tech. The collaboration stems from Ta-ku’s own personal pursuit to live a more intentional life. His own application of mindfulness has led to his increased creativity and newly found sense of self.

Working with Endel was a natural extension of Ta-ku’s overall creative exploration through various means and his longstanding relationship with technology. “Music to me has always been about growth and being true to oneself,” he notes. “I’ve never really rushed the process but rather fully trusted it and embraced that good things take time. This project with Endel feels that exact way: Take your time creatively and experiment with different mediums. This project allowed me to really look back and reflect on the work that has built me as an artist.”

Based on the same principles of the adaptive Lo-Fi Study soundscape available in the Endel apps, this album was designed to guide, not intrude. Downtempo beats, subtle arrangements, and hypnotic melodies work together to invoke a deep flow state, in which a person becomes fully immersed in an activity. Rolled high off-frequencies give a sense of intimacy and comfort, while small pitch and rhythm drifts evoke an organic feel. 

AI Beat Tape is available on popular music services everywhere, as a way to share the feel of the fully personalized, focus-enhancing soundscapes available in the Endel apps.
